Upper East Side

5.1 miles · ~1 hour 38 minutes · 249 feet elevation gain

The UES is quintisentially walkable and consistently nice from the 70s to the 90s. You don't really need a route to wander, but after dozens of walks up and down the neighborhood, these are my prettiest top pick blocks: going up Madison Ave for luxe window shopping, into the Central Park Conservatory Garden, retracing a couple blocks (which I don't typically do) to avoid the hospital area above 96th street, and using Park Ave and 89th St. to get to Carl Schurz Park. The "end" pin is at the 86th St N/Q/R stop for easy subway connection out.
